Proposed Corporate Music Event Venue in Melrose

Given the impacts in the regions where they operate, we ask the public to look closely at the true impact here, not the promotional rhetoric. The owners and operators of the proposed Event Venue have not held a public meeting regarding their plans for the county or the Melrose Community and it appears that local jurisdictions elsewhere are unable to place meaningful limitations on their activities.

Forward Focus: Eastern Alachua County
Community Input Session in Melrose
Description:
In May, the Forward Focus initiative will host a community input session in Melrose. The session will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 9 a.m. at the Melrose United Methodist Church (5807 Hampton St., Melrose, FL, 32666). All residents, businesses, and local leaders are encouraged to attend. This session will provide an opportunity to share insights and ideas about the future of Alachua County and Melrose. During this meeting, Alachua County staff will outline the project’s goals and timelines. Additionally, staff will hear attendees’ valuable feedback, which will assist in identifying development opportunities and common themes in Eastern Alachua County.

Williamson's Food Store
The beloved Melrose food store is closed! Replacement is still uncertain at this time but it is rumored that it could be a restaurant and/or liquor store. Our farmers are here to keep the community food sustainable. Check out Riddling Groves Farm Stand, Brown's Farm Stand, & Frog Song Organics CSA
